Silver Travertine Vein Cut

Silver Travertine Vein Cut is the same Turkish travertine opened the other way. Sawn along the bed, the sediment comes up as long horizontal striations. Dense silver and pewter bands layer like a section cut through rock, and the pores are drawn into fine slots that follow the banding. It is one of the most recognisable surfaces in contemporary architecture, and it earns that reputation on a wall. Run horizontally the lines cross the joints and stretch an elevation. Turned upright the same lines lift it. A whole façade can be set out so the striations carry the entire design. The cross-cut face of the same stone is listed as Silver Travertine.
